Bohol’s new luxury tourist destination, The Peacock Garden Resort and Spa was recently inaugurated by Tourism Sec. Ace Durano along with DOT regional director Dawnie Roa and top local government officials led by Gov. Erico Aumentado, Rep. Edgar Chatto, Tagbilaran Mayor Dan Neri Lim and the Peacock Garden’s visionary owners Hans and Lani Schoof. Monsignor Leonardo Medroso, Bishop of the Diocese of Tagbilaran, officiated at the blessing rites.
The Peacock Garden is situated in Upper Laya, Baclayon, a tranquil and picturesque town only 15-minutes away from Tagbilaran City. Nestled on a hill promontory, it looks out to Bohol Sea and its fabled beaches.
The 40 tastefully furnished guest rooms are done in the style of 19th century German architecture. Each room has a big picture window and is equipped with modern amenities like air-conditioning, TV and DVD player, mini-bar, direct-dial telephone and internet connection. A fourth villa houses the world-class Roman spa. Fronting it is the huge infinity pool and an outdoor jacuzzi.
The Peacock Garden has three dining outlets. Old Heidelberg, the main restaurant, serves the best of German and Continental cuisine amid the old world charm of 18th century Germany. The Hemingway Lounge, with a well-stocked wine cellar and warm leather sofas, is a haven for the discerning wine connoisseur. And for a more relaxed and casual ambience, there is the Peacock Room where hearty breakfasts are served with freshly-baked breads and pastries.
The interior looks great! Definitely one of the reasons why people should visit Philippines.
