The cloudy skies and brief rain showers here Wednesday made the cool weather more appealing to the visitors from foreign countries like Australia and Europe, according to the city tourism office (CTO).
Gabby Keith of the CTO said “our monitoring indicates that we continue to have a good number of local and foreign visitors at this time of the year especially with parents of returning students for their summer classes.”

Baguio City
Earlier, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) explained that the early rain showers were brought by passing clouds in the area due to a system called “high pressure” northeast of Luzon.
Baguio temperature ranges from 14 to 26 degrees celsius with the least expected rain showers and cloudy periods.
In past years, unexpected rains during hot months of the year here happened that the residents were not surprised with the brief downpour this morning especially at the central business district.
Although the prolonged drought known as “El Niño” phenomenon has caused the city to experience 30 degrees celsius as the highest temperature this year, the maximum temperature since last week had already lowered to 25 to 26 degrees celsius.
