17th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

The Organizers of the 17th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2012 (PIHABF) have developed this annual event to be the largest spectator event in the Philippines. Each year, bigger and better events, competitions and attractions are added to the Fiesta. The Fiesta site at Air Force City, Diosdado Macapagal International Airport, Clark Field has been enlarged to cope with the expected 100,000 visitors who will attend the coming Fiesta 9-12 February, 2012.

Top Russian artists paint the Philippines

Thirteen top Russian artists embark on a 20-day cultural journey to the Philippines, called, “To the Islands of Sampaguita,” as part of the Creative Expedition to the Philippines – 1st ASEAN Culture Capital to paint the wealth of bio-cultural diversity of our country’s habitat, heritage, history, language and creative industry. This project was organized in celebration of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Russia in an effort to strengthen bilateral relations with Russia through trade, tourism, and culture.

Philippine Department of Tourism pledges P1M for Philippine Travel Mart 2011

The Department of Tourism (DOT) is giving all out support to the promotion domestic tourism through the Philippine Travel Mart (PTM) in September, organized by Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA).

China Travel Industry Hails the Philippines as “Best Honeymoon Destination of the Year”

The Philippines was hailed the “Honeymoon Destination of the Year” in the 2011 China Travel and Meetings Industry Awards, affirming the confidence of Chinese industry executives in the Philippines as a destination for Chinese tourists, according to the Philippine Embassy in Beijing.
